This is the website of the Colorado-Wyoming Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). The Section is composed of more than 300 members in the field of transportation and traffic engineering whose purposes include:

  • Presenting the perspective of transportation and traffic engineers
  • Considering local problems pertaining to transportation and traffic engineering
  • Encouraging the introduction of transportation and traffic engineering courses in colleges, universities, and technical schools

May 2010 Section Meeting Registration Closed

Registration for the May 2010 CO/WY ITE Section meeting at the MadCap Theater has been closed. At this meeting, along with normal section business, the candidates for 2010-2011 Secretary-Treasurer will give brief speeches, and the Transportation Professional of the Year will be awarded. For entertainment, the MadCap Theater Actors will provide a humorous introspection of ourselves and our profession through Improv theater. 2010 ITE Colorado/Wyoming Section Golf Tournament

The weather outside finally has a spring feel to it, which means the 2010 Colorado/Wyoming Section ITE Golf Tournament is on the horizon! Announcement - 2009 MUTCD is Now Available

On December 16, 2009 a final rule adopting the 2009 Edition of the MUTCD was published in the Federal Register. States must adopt the 2009 National MUTCD as their legal State standard for traffic control devices within two years. The Federal Register notice, which provides detailed discussion of the FHWA's decisions on major changes from the 2003 edition, can be viewed by clicking HERE (PDF, 716KB). The Colorado/Wyoming website is a wonderful place to advertise your current job openings to people in the transportation profession. The Section will include your posting for three months on the Section website as well as placement in three upcoming editions of Conveyances, the official Section newsletter. The fee for private company job postings is only $50.00. There is no fee for public agency postings. ITE District 6 Launches Professional Mentoring Program
